i'm kate and i'm 20 years into my life as an energetic and zany artist surrounded by people i adore. i go to pratt institute in brooklyn, new york and i treasure everything i am absorbing from my amazing professors and friends. i really love food and i love cooking up a storm and feasting on comfort food. i'm not a very big fan of making art digitally, but i'm slowly trying to appreciate the damn concept. i'd rather use a pencil or paintbrush to control what i'm doing. i think thomas oslund says it perfectly, "the computer scren removes you from the process. you're not physically touching something. your hand isn't moving across the paper. there's a tactileness thats absolutely essential to the making of something"
